Jim FitzGibbon

Description of Work and Background:

Jim is an accredited Gestalt psychotherapist having graduated in 2007 with a Diploma from the Irish Gestalt Centre. He is now a supervisor and member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy. Jim is self-employed working in private practice in Annagh, Ballykeeran, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, N37DH04. Prior to qualification, he has extensive experience working as an army officer.

Jim is convinced that therapy doesn't change the draw of familiar habits, rather change begins with becoming aware of self (our embodied narratives) experiencing self without judgement or excuses and the development of options to manage life is how to enable change.
Jim feels it's an honour to be allowed witness a person's life and meet with the shared purpose of growth of the person.
He believes keenly in his own continuous personal and professional development.
