Description of Work and Background:

I have a private psychotherapy practice based in Duncannon, Co. Wexford and also work at the Family Life Service, Wexford.

I provide counselling and psychotherapy for clients presenting with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, bereavement and relationship difficulties as well as work-related problems.

I work from a humanistic and integrative approach. In my work as a therapist, I emphasise the importance of the therapeutic relationship, providing a supportive and secure environment for the exploration and development of deeper personal integration. I believe this can be achieved by exploring feelings thereby helping clients gain insight into their symptoms while supporting them to become aware of their options.
Working as a teacher and homeschool liaison coordinator at a post-primary school has given me great insight into the underlying issues of concern to both young people and their parents. I am a trained facilitator in the HSE Family Communications Programme as well as the Parents Plus Programme and have worked with several groups of parents in a community setting.I have a particular interest in working with adolescents and young adults.
