Description of Work and Background:

Glenn is a Certified Associate member of IAHIP (Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy) and works to their standards and code of ethics. He completed a five year training in body oriented psychotherapy (Biosynthesis) in Switzerland with the late David Boadella between 2010 and 2015.

He works with issues of, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, stuck-ness, grief and bereavement, relationship issues and couples therapy.

Glenn is very interested in the role that communication plays in our lives, both our communication with others and our internal dialogue. He supports couples and groups to explore their communication patterns, helping them find alternative ways of expression so that they can feel heard.

Prior to working as a therapist, Glenn worked in the corporate world as the manager of a research think tank at a large financial investment firm. Glenn holds qualifications in both Physics and Business, Economics & Social Studies (BESS). He cites the challenges associated with being a manager of people as being pivotal to engaging in management training. He trained extensively with Sandy Cotter in Development Psychology and Organisational Politics at Cranfield University in the UK.

He is a senior EMCC accredited executive coach and lectures in Executive Education in UCD. He is also a certified mediator and communication coach (CNVC.org) using Nonviolent Communication (NVC). He runs a Preparation for Therapy group using NVC and Gestalt at a low cost centre in Dublin. Glenn lectures on Gestalt psychotherapy on the BA programme at the International College for Personal and Professional Development.

Glenn is a Swim Ireland and Shaw method accredited swimming teacher and specialises in helping fearful and nervous swimmers address their relationship with water via the Alexander Technique.

He is training as a Relational Supervisor for coaches and exploring Gestalt OD.

He speaks French and is learning Portuguese.
