Mick Lee

Description of Work and Background:

Mick is an accredited Gestalt Psychotherapist having trained with the Irish Gestalt Centre. Prior to qualifying as a Psychotherapist he worked for many years as a Solicitor owning and managing his own practice. He has a keen insight into the pressures people work under. Mick fervently believes in the Socratic concept that “a life unexamined is a life not fully lived”. He believes that personal development [including examining the relationship one has with oneself and in turn how one relates to others] is the most effective antidote to life’s stressors. Mick facilitates a Personal Development module at a Masters level in Waterford Institute of Technology and facilitates groups designed to deal with domestic violence. He also works with clients in the Solas Cancer Support Centre in Waterford. He has a busy private practice in Waterford working with individuals and groups. Mick is part of the team which delivers IGC personal development programmes.

Mick is a friendly, easy to talk to, Counsellor dealing with anger, assertiveness, anxiety, bereavement, depression, mindfulness, relationship difficulties, self-compassion, stress, sexuality and work related issues.
