Description of Work and Background:

I am an IAHIP accredited Gestalt Psychotherapist

I work in private practice in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford

My background is in health care, I was previously employed by the HSE until 2022 as a Senior Health Promotion Officer since 2001 and as a Registered General Nurse since 1984.

I am a student of the Diamond Approach Teaching Ireland since 2017..

I am a humanistic and integrative trained psychotherapist grounded in the existential and gestalt approaches I work experientially with individuals to provide both short and long-term psychotherapy support as required. My work covers a broad a range of emotional and psychological issues, such as anxiety, stress, anger, depression, loss and bereavement, parenting, relationships and sexuality, trauma, abuse, self - harm and addiction.

One of my strengths is my ability to create a safe, supportive and creative space for the client. This is underpinned by my strong belief in the importance of the therapeutic relationship in supporting the client to do their personal work and self-enquiry. I believe that each person is unique and has the capacity to achieve their potential for true contact and awareness both with themselves and in their relationship with others.
My preference is for face to face sessions when seeing both clients and supervisees, however I am open to delivering supervision online if required.
