Description of Work and Background:I graduated from the IGC in 1999 and trained as a Supervisor in 2006.
For the past thirty-four years, I have worked with families, individuals, couples and adolescents. I have facilitated groups in the following: Parenting, Bereavement/ Loss, Impact of Separation on Adults and Children. I work in a creative and innovative way, using art, meditation and experiential exercises.
I work as a Psychotherapist and Supervisor in The Dublin Gestalt Centre, where I see clients and Supervisees. I also provide supervision to supervisees who are in training as Psychotherapists with adults and children, and who work in a variety of settings.
My work covers a broad range of psychological and emotional difficulties, for example, depression, anxiety, bereavement, separation, trauma and self-harm, and the impact and effects of separation on adults and children. I work from a humanistic and integrative approach, providing both long and short-term therapy.
At all times I emphasise the importance of the client-therapist relationship.
I am passionate about my work, and I feel privileged to be a part of both my clients’ and supervisees’ journey of self-discovery.
