Sharon Murphy

Description of Work and Background:

Sharon Murphy is an accredited gestalt psychotherapist and her Therapy Studio is based in South Kilkenny bordering both Waterford and Wexford.

Sharon works both in-person and online, offering her clients a warm welcome and a safe, confidential and compassionate space to explore together the issues that have brought them to therapy. She has a creative, holistic approach and enjoys working with symbols, metaphor, images, and with the body. Her research into trauma, anxiety and embodiment together with her clinical experience have proven just how powerful working creatively can be.

She has significant experience working in the areas of disability psychotherapy, cancer support, social care, and education. She is also a qualified and experienced group facilitator.

Sharon is experienced in working with a broad spectrum of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship issues, parenting issues, grief, cancer support and work-related challenges.
