I first started training as a counsellor in 1998 with the Rape Crisis Network Ireland. The experiential nature of this training led me to begin my own personal journey of self exploration and reflection and went on to train with the Irish Gestalt Centre. I continue to work as a therapist in private practice and with the Rape Crisis Centre. I have found Gestalt Therapy to be an effective counselling method both personally and professionally and have worked with issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, sexual abuse, relationship issues, work related issues and sexuality. Throughout my counselling career I am in awe of people’s capacity to grow and change when given a safe, creative space to explore their world. I believe that everyone has to capacity and resources to heal and grow, sometimes we need support along the way. I offer one-to-one counselling, couple counselling, meditation and personal development groups. For more information about how I work please visit www.sligogestaltcounselling.ie.
